Might post from Nairobi or Mombasa, but quite possibly won't. Look after yourselves until I'm back! Don't hack into anything and break stuff. Be nice to your fellow man, etc, etc. Probably will have the hugest mother of posts when I get back. Hometime is the 30th, though it'll be months before I write it all up, if Italy is anything to go by.
Later d00ds.
Can't quite bring myself to turn my laptop off...
But slack, I'm warming up for a big "what happened?" post and of course I have photos, but for now:
Went to Fabric on Friday. It was wicked! Definitely the best club I've been to. The club building itself is sweet, set in a big old cellar complex beneath Farringdon. It bears great similarity to a Quake level, especially being lit in primary colours. The rooms are big, but not ridiculous. The sound system was very good as well, actual treble! Did hurt my ears quite badly, but they're back to working order now.
Woke up very broken yesterday and even more today. Lots of muscles strained in my arms and back. I did really enjoy the dancing, but next time I think I'll have to limber up!
I even took some pictures and put them on my Moblg.
Well, back to cold grey England, slightly dazed but getting into the routine again. I've got work to do today indeed.
We got back on Friday morning at about nine, I delt with 1,297 emails and then passed out. Since then I've been pottering around and spending a lot of time on my photo gallery.
On which note, I have hacked the gallery so that it paginates the list of galleries, so I can have more than ten, and uploaded the following sets of photos, finally:
Blogs for the holiday to come in the next week or so. So much to tell!
Spent a bit of time re-organising my Documents folder. This folder has been growing new content since 1995. So sorting it out was much like going into the shed you haven't opened the door of for a year or two. Ultimate spring cleaning.
I found a whole bunch of HTML stuff I did whilst at college and uni, not just web dev, but writing, graphics, everything. Some of the UEA crew may remember Marionville :-). In many ways this site today is just the latest part of an evolving low level creativity that I've been indulging since I wasn't a kid anymore. It's wierd looking back at the old stuff and seeing clear threads that lead into who I am today. Embarrasing as it is, I would like to put some of it live. I've been thinking this site needs a redesign as it goes, but I've just been soo busy with Cohack, Moblog, freelance, Resident Evil, Live-rockin' and everything else I've kind of run out of time to just piss about. Which is a real shame.
Early new year's resolution: get back on the random acts of creativity tip.
Plus, I've been blogging for 4.5 years! If only I blogged a bit more, that might be interesting :-).
